Nalbandian: Terrorists’ Atrocities in Syria are Crimes against Humanity

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The political developments in Syria and the region in addition to the organized international terrorism the Syrian people are facing were the main topics discussed by Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Lahham and visiting Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian during their meeting on Wednesday.

Nalbandian said that “the atrocities committed by the armed terrorist organizations in Syria are classified as “crimes against humanity”.

He called for dedicating all efforts to confront the terrorism Syria is facing by seeking a halt to funding terrorists and refraining from buying the oil stolen from Syria.

The Armenian top diplomat urged dialogue among all Syrian parties as to defend the interests of the Syrian state and hoped that the Syrians will succeed in attaining a solution that restores Syria’s being as an osis for security and stability.

On his part, al-Lahham said the wars being waged on Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen aim to dismantle the structure of the state in these countries and to establish weak conflicting entities with complete subordination to the West which manages these conflicts according to its interests.

Al-Lahham urged unifying all efforts to combat terrorism and to pressure the countries which support and fund terrorism to halt their support which is a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council resolutions relating to terrorism fighting.

He hailed the supportive stances of the Armenian leadership, government and people towards Syria in the confrontation of the ongoing global terrorist war.
