Syrian army strikes terrorist hideouts in Idlib, repels attacks on military posts south-west of Damascus and Hasaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has struck terrorist hideouts in Idlib and has repelled attacks on military posts in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and Hasaka.

According to the official news agency (SANA), Syrian warplanes bombed today terrorist groupings and hideouts in Tal al-Tibat, Marbad al-Shier Debeh, Hloz and Jisr Esh Shugur countryside where scores of terrorists were killed.

More terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ were eliminated in concentrated operations carried out by army units in the northwestern countryside of Daraa.

The operations synchronized with repelling al-Nusra Front terrorists’ attacks on military posts near Khan al-Shieh and al-Hseneyeh farms in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.

“Many terrorist were killed in the confrontations,” a military source confirmed, indicating that army units pounded one of al-Nusra front hideouts in Khan al-Shieh farms yesterday.

The army units positioned on the al-Salam highway, which links Damascus countryside and Quneitra countryside, repel terrorist organizations’ infiltration bids from Khan al-Shieh into the highway, SANA said.

In another development, army units and popular defense groups repelled ISIS terrorists’ attacks on military posts in Qaber Shameyeh town, north-west of Hassaka city.

“The army units in Qaber Shameyeh town in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed today at dawn with ISIS terrorists, who attacked military posts on the outskirt of the town, which is located on Hasaka-Tal Abyad road,” a source in Hasaka province said.

It added that many terrorists were killed and several vehicles belonging to them were destroyed in the clashes.

Last Tuesday, army units recaptured towns of al-Sholeh and Qaber Shameyeh plus the eastern slopes of Jabal Abdul Aziz and Solid waste treatment center after inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists.

As for Qalamoun Battle on Syrian-Lebanese border, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that Syrian army and Lebanese resistance regained control over Sader al-Bistan hill, which overlooks Flita and Jarajir barrens.
