Economic Relations with Indonesia Discussed

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Minister of Public Works Eng. Hussein Arnous recently discussed here with Indonesian Ambassador in Damascus Jaco Haryanto prospects of development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.

The Minister called the Indonesian companies and investors to come to Syria and explore job opportunities and contribute to the reconstruction process, either independently or in partnership with the Syrian companies for the benefit of both sides.

Eng. Arnous gave an explanation about investment opportunities in Syria, indicating that several exhibitions were held in Syria concerning reconstruction process.

 

For his part, the Indonesian Ambassador said the meeting helped to identify the prospects of cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works, pointing out that the two countries enjoy solid historical relations and this requires the development of those relations in various fields.

The Ambassador clarified that he would convey what had been presented with Mr. Arnous and other Ministers to his government, referring to the importance of the deepening of relations and the exchange of expertise in all areas.
