Authorities dismantle explosives-rigged car in Homs, seize 2000kg of narcotics in Lattakia

HOMS,(ST)-The competent authorities dismantled Saturday an explosives-rigged car in al-Arman quarter in Homs city, according to a source at the province of Homs.

The source clarified that the car was found after the people of al-Arman quarter informed the security bodies about a suspicious car parked among homes.

“Around 120 kilograms of C4 high explosives plus 150kg pf various types of explosives were found inside the car,” the source said, adding that there were equipment and electric circuit to explode the car by remote control.

6.000.000 Captagon pills, 800 kg of hashish confiscated

Last night, the General Directorate of Ports in Lattakia confiscated roughly 6.000.000 Captagon pills, weighing 1200kg, and 800 kg of hashish hidden inside leather bags floating on the surface of the water near the beach in al-Baseet area.

Lattakia governor told reporters: “The countries that support terrorism in Syria are the same countries that export hashish to it in a desperate attempt to destabilize the country and to damage the minds of young people.

The official news agency (SANA) published photos of the confiscated Captagons and hashish.
