“Syrian phoenix” Campaign Started Public intervention to Support Pound

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Public intervention in support of the Syrian pound started yesterday by Syrian expatriates before the zero hour of the ” Syrian phoenix ” campaign, destined for national expatriates for the aim of supporting the national currency, contributing to the country’s steadfastness and challenging the economic war Syria has been experiencing .

In a statement to SANA, campaign’s co-founder, Syrian artist Aref al-Taweel, said that considerable sums of money have arrived before the zero hour of launching the campaign by the Syrian expatriates in Canada, Australia and the UAE.

He explained that Syrian communities in most foreign countries began active participation in the campaign, stressing expatriates confidence in the Syrian pound, which will remain the identity of every honest Syrian citizen.

He expected expatriates overwhelming response in the coming hours in support of the national currency with the participation of several Syrian businessmen whose number reached 24 businessmen and hundreds of shareholders.

The “Syrian phoenix” campaign will continue for several days, to be followed by the announcement of weekly intervention campaigns, under possible legal means, in countries where Syrian expatriates exist.
