Remittances Increase Foreign Exchange

DAMASCUS, (ST) -A large and clear increase in incoming foreign exchange amounts to Syria because Syrian expatriates’ remittances from abroad, special source told local press.

“A number of money transfer companies in Syria were given licenses and instructions issued to facilitate the licensing procedures,” the source added.

The Ministry of Interior, the source added, adopted strict measures to combat the smuggling of foreign currency.
