Syria Takes Part in Horeca Exhibition

DAMASCUS, (ST) –The Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF) stressed that the Syrian pavilion at the HORECA 2015 Exhibition for Food Industries and Hospitality Services and Packaging, which was kicked off on Monday in Beirut has witnessed a distinct turn out.

Secretary of the of Syrian Exporters’ Federation Mazen Hammour clarified in a press statement that Syria’s participation in the exhibition gave the Syrian industrialists an opportunity to display their food products and communicate with exhibitors from other countries in order to promote the Syrian products that meet the approval of foreign markets.

Mr. Hammour, pointed out that the SEF is determined to participate in the upcoming exhibitions and increase the size of the Syrian participation in the light of the assessments conducted by the SEF for each show.

The board member of the SEF Iyad Muhammad confirmed that the Syrian pavilion, which includes distinct companies in the food industry witnessed outstanding turnout for its good reputation through high-quality food products, competitive prices and possession of many famous brands inside and outside Syria.

“The Syrian industries in various sectors including food began to regain its position in the domestic and foreign markets,” and that the SEF in cooperation with stakeholders in the public and private sectors seeks to promote the slogan “Made in Syria,” Said Mohammed.
