PRAGUE,(ST)_ A charity concert in support of Syrian children within activities sponsored by the Syrian Embassy in Prague and local activists in cities where they are held, was opened at Virgin Mary church in Dobby city.
Coordinator of the event Marketa Daitzva said in a speech during the ceremony that Syria, which constitutes an example in the world of the state of harmony, and creative interaction between its different social components is now exposed to organized terrorism resulted in large calamities, noting that terrorism and destruction also targeted the “the rich and rare artifacts ” which are abundant in Syria.
She explained that this event and other similar events that will take place later represent a symbolic contribution of Czech citizens to express their solidarity with the Syrian people and children and for the return of peace and stability to Syria.
The ceremony, which began by playing the national Syrian anthem and other musical pieces, was attended Chargé d’affaires at the Syrian Embassy in Prague Bashar Akbik and Dobby City Mayor and citizens and the ceremony was commemorated by “Fontana” children band of Thabletsi.
Noteworthy that the cities Thabletsi and Usti Nad Labem will witness over the next few days, two similar concerts and Virgin Mary Church in Dobby is one of the ancient Czech churches, where concerts for humanitarian and charitable purposes, are regularly held.
