French Citizens Take part in ” Syrian Sunday” Event, in Solidarity with Syria

PARIS,(ST)_ Several French and Arab activists voiced yesterday their support for the Syrian people in their crisis and rejection of their country’s policy toward the organized terrorism Syria is exposed to. This was revealed in the ” Syrian Sunday ” event which is held by the Syrian community in France for this month, in preparation for the solidarity trip to Syria.

“I want to visit Syria and be an ambassador for the French people and write after my return from there my articles in independent and popular French newspapers about what I’ve seen of realities and the facts on the ground”, French Activist, Stefan Velamen told SANA.

According to Dr. Rima Khlefawi responsible for the Syrian community in France, the event was attended, by several participants who will take part in the solidarity popular cultural trip to Syria, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, noting that they will arrive in Damascus next week.

Khlefawi said that one of the participants who came from the city of Lyon expressed solidarity with Syria, saying he would not be part of the trip of solidarity to Syria, but Syria has its place in his heart, and he feels pain of what is happening to it as he had visited Syria and had known its people and he is optimistic that Syria will achieve victory.

The event is characterized by participation of young persons and adults, who have expressed their solidarity with Syria, including some who played the Syrian anthem while others participated in drawing a picture of Syria name and map, expressing their love for Syria.

It is noteworthy that the “ Syrian Sunday” event is hosted by the gathering of the Syrian community in France, periodically, in order to enhance communication and relations between Syrian expatriates and their homeland within a context of cultural and social atmosphere of Syrian flavor.
