PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has struck terrorist outposts in Aleppo and Daraa and has warded off ISIS attack on a military post north-east of Palmyra city, the official news agency (SANA) said Sunday.
The agency clarified that army units carried out concentrated operations against terrorist outposts in the old city of Aleppo and in some quarters in Aleppo city from which rockets were fired yesterday on al-Slemaneyeh, al-Sayyed and al-Khaledeyeh quarters in the same city.
At least 9 civilians were martyred and over 47 others wounded in the rocket attack .
Terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘al-Tawhid’ brigade, the ‘al-Fath’ brigade, the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement, and the al-Ansar Front spread in some quarter of Aleppo city and they receive support from the Gulf sheikhdoms and the Turkish regime.
The same province [Aleppo] witnessed fresh military operations against al-Nusra Front sites in Khan Toman town in the southwestern countryside of the province and in Dwer al-Zaiton and on the outskirts of al-Mallah farms in the northern countryside.
Many terrorists were killed and injured in the operations, a military source said, adding that an army unit destroyed several terrorist hideouts in an area located east of Aleppo city on Aleppo-Raqqa highway.
A military leader in the so-called the ‘Shams al-Shamal’ battalions, dubbed Abdo Doshka, was among terrorists killed in Aleppo, according to social media.
On the other hand, SANA said that 136 wanted persons from Aleppo province turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations.
Moving towards the south of the country, army units struck al-Nusra Front outposts in Daraa al-Balad, which lies 10km fa away from the Jordanian al-Ramtha city, and in Kafer Shams town in the northern countryside of Daraa as well as nea Em al-Azem dam in the occupied Syrian Golan in Quneitra Province.
The towns on the border with Jordan are main crossing for flow of terrorists and weapons into Syria.
Al-Nusra Front Emir in al-Rastan city killed
In the central region, army units killed many ISIS terrorists in towns of Rhom, Rajm al-Ali and Em Sehrij in the northern and eastern countryside of Homs a day after killing al-Nusra Front Emir, dubbed Abo Khadejeh al-Masri, in al-Rastan city.
As many as 15 ISIS terrorists were killed and injured when army units warded off attack on a military post in al-Hefneh area, which lies 35km north-east of Palmyra city, according to a source at the province of Homs.
The source added that engineering units in army defused several explosive devices planted by terrorists on Palmyra-Sekhneh road east of Palmyra.
Yesterday, terrorists exploded a car bomb near Syrian-Lebanese border in Hawik town outside al-Qusair area, killing at least two civilians and causing material damage at the scene.
On April 10, over 18 ISIS terrorists died in an explosion inside a bomb-making factory in al-Shdadi city in the southern countryside of Hassaka province, north-east of Syria.

Separately, SANA quoted a military source as saying that Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayyoub inspected today military units stationed in al-Mastomeh area in Idlib countryside.
