Saudi Arabia plans to supply al-Qaeda terrorists operating in Yemen’s Hadramout province with more weapons and other tools of war, in an attempt to push back the Ansarullah fighters and force them to retreat, a military source revealed.
An unnamed source told Fars News Agency on Monday that the Saudi regime is trying to deliver more weapons and other supplies to Yemen through the Wadia crossing, seeking to reinforce al-Qaeda terrorists and weaken the popular fighters.
The Saudi plan is mainly aimed at sapping the strength of steadfast Ansarullah fighters who have so far made huge gains in their fight against the Saudi-backed terrorists wreaking havoc in the Muslim country, the source added.
The source also said that Saudi Arabia attempts to enter Yemen from the vast plains of Hadramout province, adding that out in the open the Saudi soldiers will be sitting ducks for Yemeni fire.
Yemeni Major General Khalid al-Barayemi said on Saturday that the revolutionary forces have found chemical weapons in several Saudi trucks bound for areas under terrorists’ control.
He added that the substances seized can be used for producing Sarin gas which is a deadly weapon.
Al-Barayemi also said there is sufficient evidence that Turkish planes have recently delivered weapons into Yemen’s soil under the cover of humanitarian aid, implying that the chemical weapons susbstances might have been transited from Turkey.
The Yemeni official further said that Yemen’s fugitive president Mansour Hadi spoke on the phone with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyib Erdogan two months ago, during which he sought Ankara’s military aid.
Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for twelve days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has killed at least 887 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.
Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.
Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
Saudi Arabia is known to be the main backer and financier of terrorist groups in the region. A few months ago, US Vice-President Joe Biden blamed Riyadh for its direct role in support of various terrorist groups in the region, including the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Nusra Front.
The monarchy has also been supplying ISIL and Nusra Front terrorists with chemical weapons and chemical ingredients for building such weapons.
