An Iraqi airstrike killed several terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, and injured a senior ISIL commander in Southern Mosul in Nineveh province on Saturday.
The Iraqi air force conducted an airstrike against the ISIL terrorists in al-Qiara district in Southern Mosul, and killed many of them, a security source said, adding that the so-called commander of Southern Mosul was severely injured.

Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces thwarted an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorists in Southern Ramadi city in Anbar province.
A joint task force of the Iraqi police and anti-terrorism department managed to “foil an ISIL attack on the districts of al-Muallemin and al-Andalus in Southern Ramadi”, an informed source said Friday, adding that the security forces inflicted heavy losses on them.
The ISIL Takfiri terrorists have threatened all communities in Iraq and Syria, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.
Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.
The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
