Syrian army kills dozens of terrorists in Hama and Daraa, foils attacks on towns in Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed dozens of terrorists during concentrated operations in Hama countryside and has foiled terrorist attacks on towns in Homs countryside, the official news agency (SANA) said yesterday.

The agency clarified that the concentrated operations targeted terrorist organizations in 11 towns in the eastern and northwestern countryside of Hama where dozens of terrorists, most of them linked to the al-Nusra Front, were killed and injured.

Several terrorist hideouts were also destroyed during the military operations in Kaferzetta  and al-Latamneh towns, which lie 38km north-west of Hama city.

The operations in the said towns come within the ongoing operations that aim at uprooting terrorists from Khan Shikhon countryside outside Idlib.

In another development, army units foiled terrorist attacks on towns of Abo Alaya and Khattab and destroyed a mortar emplacement in al-Rastan al-Tahtani in Homs countryside and struck hideouts of al-Nusra Front, the ‘al-Mothanna’ Movement and the ‘al-Yarmouk’ brigade in towns of al-Tibeh, Em al-Mayaden and Nasib in southern Daraa province.

Several terrorist ringleaders were killed in the towns of al-Tibeh, Em al-Mayaden and Nasib, which are located near Syrian-Jordanian border.

More terrorists were eliminated in several areas outside Aleppo.
