Health, transport, bread matters partly to be solved

The Syrian government has kept part of its promises as regards health, transport, and bread matters.

An urgent cargo including medicine for chronic diseases and medical requirements estimated at  SP 90 million arrived on Tuesday at Aleppo Airport.

In this context, Health Minister, Dr. Saed al-Nayef, told SANA that the cargo comes within the framework of efforts being exerted to meet citizens’ medical needs.

He noted that further medical cargos containing respiratory systems and surgery tools are being prepared to be sent to Aleppo in the next week.

The ministry is going to send other medical cargos to  Hasaka, Hama, Idleb, Sweida, Quneitra, and Raqqa provinces, according to SANA.

As for bread matter, Damascus Governorate’s Executive Bureau has formed five committees in Damascus to supervise bakeries and refer proposals to circles concerned in Internal Trade Directorate and Consumer Protection Association.

The bureau approved a decision to equip two new bakeries in Damascus to be in service next week. In addition, quantities of items allocated to make bread in Damascus have increased from 230 tons to 600 to meet citizens’ needs.

Regarding transport, the Higher Committee for Public Transport underscored needs to unify strategies related to achieve integration between Damascus and its surrounding.

The committee discussed in its 1st meeting the suspended Damascus metro project and railway transport. But no details about the future plans have been reported.
