Shamakhani: Cooperation between Iran, Syria and Iraq, greater convergence for peoples

TEHRAN, (ST)_ Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani stressed that the constructive role and strategic cooperation between Iran, Syria and Iraq lead to further rapprochement among peoples, as key elements in the creation of internal and regional security.

He stressed during a meeting for the Supreme National Security Council yesterday that true confrontation of terrorism and urgent support for the peoples of the region against risks arising from the presence of terrorist organizations are evidence on Iran good intentions, adding that Iran’s foreign policy is based on cooperation with all countries, especially neighboring ones.

Shamkhani, on the other hand, stressed commitment to “logic and dialogue” as the only way to deal with Iran, stressing that final agreement on the Iranian nuclear file can be reached through the recognition of Iran’s rights in the framework of international laws, but with abandoning pressuring and threatening Iran.

He continued that the enemy has considered the sanctions as an tool to put pressure on the people, but the will of the Iranian people and their determination to preserve their independence, were more powerful than any weapon, and more effective than sanctions. “

Noteworthy that Iran and a group of five plus one currently hold a new round of nuclear talks in Lausanne, Switzerland to discuss pending issues between the two sides.
