Syrian army recaptures Handarat area from Erdogan-backed terrorists in Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has regained control of Handarat area in the northern countryside of Aleppo and has eliminated many al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa countryside, the official news agency (SANA) reported Wednesday.

The agency quoted a military source as saying that an army unit imposed control of Handarat area after eliminating all terrorist organizations there.

The recapture of Handarat area is a fresh progress made by army units in the ongoing war against the Turkish Erdogan-backed terrorism in the northern Aleppo province, SANA said, adding that the fresh progress means that army units cut off one of the terrorists’ main supply routes from Turkey into the old city of Aleppo through al-Kastillo road.

The terrorist organizations announced on social media that many of their members, including a Saudi ringleader in al-Nusra Front, his name Nesha’a al-Chechani, were killed on the outskirts of Handarat.

Meanwhile, army units killed and injured many terrorists linked to the Saudi-backed ‘al-Shameyeh’ Front on the outskirts of Tal al-Madafeh [al-Madafeh hill] north-east of Aleppo city, a military source confirmed.

It added that further terrorists were eliminated in  al-Ewija area, Kafr Hamra and Hritan towns and on the outskirts of al-Mallah and al-Neirab airbase.

Southern front

In southern Daraa province, army units destroyed 3 weapons-laden cars belonging to terrorists on Daraa-Khrab Sha’hm road south of the province and mowed downs dozens of terrorists linked to the so-called the ‘Shohada’a al-Yarmouk’ brigade in Sida town, which lies 10km east of Daraa city.

Khrab al-Sha’hm town is located near the Jordanian al-Terra town and it is a main route for the flow of terrorists and smuggling weapons.

The same province [Daraa], witnessed military operations against terrorist organizations east of the bridge of al-Ghareyeh al-Gharbeyeh and in Kafr Nasej town and in Daraa al-Balad where several vehicles were destroyed and many terrorists died.

Other operations were carried out by army units against ISIS sites in al-Rastan and Jbab Hamad Rhom towns in the eastern countryside of Homs and in several areas in Idlib countryside.
