Terrorists open fire on aid distribution point in Yarmouk camp

DAMASCUS,(ST)_A civilian was hurt on Friday when armed terrorist organizations opened fire on aid distribution point in the Palestinian refugee camp of al-Yarmouk south of Damascus, the General Commission of the Arab Palestinian Refugees said in a statement carried by the official news agency (SANA).

The statement read: “During the distribution of aid in the ‘Palestine’ Street  in Yarmouk camp, the armed terrorist organizations opened fire on the distribution point, wounding a person.”

The wounded person was admitted to a hospital in Damascus, the statement added.

It indicated that the general commission- in cooperation with the Syrian government and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)- distributed yesterday 386 food parcels to the people living in the terrorists-besieged camp.

Since the resumption of aid distribution process- on March 5, 2015- some 3094 food parcels were distributed.

By the beginning of March, Director of the Palestinian Liberation Organizations’ Political Bureau, Ambassador Anwar Abdulhadi, announced the resumption of the aid distribution in Yarmouk camp after the armed terrorist organizations prevented the distribution for three months.

In another development, terrorist organizations fired two mortar rounds on Abo Remmaneh quarter in Damascus, causing material damage at the scene.

No one was reportedly hurt.

Last night, a civilian was wounded when a mortar round fell in the ‘al-Manakhleyeh’ market in al-Amara quarter in the same province [Damascus].

The US, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel support terrorist organizations operating in Syria, world media reports confirm.
