Syrian political family meeting kicks off in Aleppo

The Syrian political family’s consultative meeting kicked off today in Aleppo city under the slogan ‘Take part in the Syrian national decision’, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted Aleppo Governor Marwan Olabi as saying at the opening ceremony that the meeting, which includes a wide range of national forces, comes within the sincere efforts being exerted by a lot of Syrians to hold inter-Syrian dialogue.

“Since the outset of the crisis in the county, the Syrian government called for holding a national dialogue in which foreign terrorists and colonialist powers and their regional tools have no place,” Olabi added.

He referred to successive victories being realized by Syrian army against terrorist organizations nationwide.

The today-meeting organized by the Aleppo Trust for Supporting National Principles is to release a statement stressing that Syrian solution based on national principles  is the only solution to the ongoing crisis.

Several members of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Aleppo branch , members of parliament, Christian and Muslim clergymen and representatives of NGOs, scientific unions and national forces are taking part in the meeting.
