Lt. General Ayyoub inspects military posts in northeastern countryside of Lattakia

LATTAKIA,(ST)_ Chief of the General Staff of the Army and the Armed Forces, Lt. General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, visited today several military units and posts in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia.

The visit was made upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, according to the official news agency (SANA), which said that the Lt. General Ayyoub met soldiers there and conveyed to them President al-Assad’s greetings.

The agency added that the field commanders briefed Lt. General Ayyoub on the progress made by the army units in the region, indicating that the commander-in-chief praised the heroic acts of the army units in confronting the Takfiri gangs, which are supported by the Zionist entity and some regional regimes.

The soldiers asserted their readiness to confront the homeland’s enemies and to sacrifice their lives for its dignity.
