Rouhani: Iran Will Not Accept ADeal That May Violate Iran Rights

Tehran –President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday that the Iranian nuclear negotiators will never accept a deal that may violate the right of the Iranian people.

The President made the remarks in his speech to the cabinet session.

The president said that Iran is ready to demonstrate further transparency. However, he added that if the negotiations are after depriving Iran of its inalienable right to nuclear technology, Iran will not accept such an agreement.

Iran wants a deal that will benefit Iran, the region, and the whole world, Rouhani said.

President Rouhani said that the world is satisfied with the progress in negotiations between Iran and the P5+1.

He said that the outcome of the negotiations would help settle the crises caused by extremism across the region and the entire world.

Rouhani expressed hope that the six world powers negotiating with Iran would recognize the critical situation of the region and pay due attention to the interests of the nations and therefore adopt a reasonable approach to Iran nuclear case.

Only the occupying regime of Qods, which sees its survival in continuation of war, occupation and invasion, is angry with Iran talks making progress, Rouhani said.

People of the world and the American nation are so wise that they will not allow a war mongering regime to mislead them, he said.

President Rouhani said that Israeli regime, possessing stockpiles of nuclear bombs in contravention of the international regulations, has yet to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and it is not giving the IAEA inspectors access to visit its nuclear facilities.

Zarif, Kerry end fourth round of nuclear talks

Meanwhile,  the fourth round of talks between Iran and US delegations headed by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad JavadZarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry ended minutes ago in Montreux, Switzerland.

In this round of talks, Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi, US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, Iranian Deputies Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi and MajidTakht-e-Ravanchi, US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman and Deputy of EU foreign policy chief Helga Schmidt and President Hassan Rouhani’s special advisor HosseinFereydoun were present.

Before this round of talks, Salehi and Moniz held a technical meeting, which last for one and half hours.

On Wednesday evening at 19 o’clock Montreux time, deputies foreign minister of Iran and three European countries of Britain, France and Germany will hold a meeting.

On Thursday, the same meeting will be held with other deputies foreign minister of the other members of Group 5+1 in Montreux.

Iran will not accept excessive demands, says Afkham

Iran will not accept excessive demands in negotiations over its peaceful nuclear program, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman MarziehAfkham said in a weekly press conference on Wednesday.

Iran and US continue the intense talks in Monteux and the two sides are using the opportunity to find a solution to the remaining issues, she added.

Afkham noted that it is early to judge the outcome of talks.

Iran and G5+1 have the political will to continue the talks; Iran will not accept excessive demands and will continue its peaceful nuclear activities, she asserted.

Afkham underlined that Iran’s nuclear activities are peaceful and that the IAEA reports have always confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities.

She said that all sides at talks are willing to reach a political agreement before end of March.

Commenting on the talks between Iran and G5+1 deputy foreign ministers on Thursday, the spokeswoman said that there is no report about presence of G5+1 ministers at the meeting.

While commenting on the anti-Iran claims of Benjamin Netanyahu addressing the US lawmakers which coincided with the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 in Switzerland, she said that Netanyahu’s remarks are not important for Iran.

Afkham added that Tehran negotiates based on its national interests in order to reach a good deal which allows Iran to continue its peaceful nuclear program.
