Syria Beats Singapore 2-1

Singapore, (ST) – Syria’s Olympic football team beat Singapore  2-1 in a friendly match.

The match was held in the framework of the two teams’ preparations for AFC U-23 Asian Cup.

The Syrian team beat Singapore’s 6-1 last Wednesday.

Earlier, the Olympic team also met the hosting Indonesian team twice. The first match ended 1-1 draw, while our team achieved a 3-0 win in the second.

The matches were part of training camps for the Syrian Olympic teams outside the country in preparation for Asian Cup qualifiers.

The Syrian team will head to Bangladesh which will be hosting the AFC U-23 Asian Cup and will meet in group 5 with Uzbekistan, India, and Bangladesh.
