Syrian army kills dozens of ISIS terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed dozens of ISIS terrorists outside Hassaka and Homs, the official news agency (SANA) reported Tuesday.

The agency clarified that army units targeted ISIS sites in Mafraq al-Seddeq town in Jabal Abdulaziz area, about 40km west of Hassaka city, and in Tal Majdal town, which is one of the ISIS main stronghold in the western countryside of Hassaka.

It added that the ISIS terrorists were inflicted heavy losses in the said towns and in al-Hawoz town on the road linking Tal Tamr town and the western countryside of the same province [Hassaka].

The ISIS terrorists, who are holed up in the towns of al-Hawoz, Tal Majdal and Mafraq al-Seddeq, repeatedly shell people living in Tal Tamr and Tal Hermez towns. They fired  last week more than 20 artillery shells plus dozens of mortar rounds on the  towns, wounding 3 civilians.

Oil theft

In Palmyra countryside, army units killed terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] as they were trying to steal oil from a pipeline in al-Dawwara area, about 20km north of Palmyra.

The ISIS terrorists’ attempt to steal the oil came a day after army units foiled an armed attack carried out by the terrorists on the ‘Ark’ gas field, which is located north-east Palmyra.

The ISIS organization steals oil and sells it through Turkish brokers with direct support from Erdogan regime.

In another development, army units struck the ISIS groupings in al-Jazal area, about 50km north-west Palmyra, and in towns of Mas’ada, al-Msherfeh, Rhom and Enq al-Hawa in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The strikes synchronized with continuity of military operations against terrorist groupings in the southern front  where many terrorists were reportedly killed and injured.

Further terrorists were killed as army units targeted their groupings in Khan al-Joz, al-Wadi, al-Kayyaleh , Wadi al-Shikan and Kansaba in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Clashes between people and al-Nusra Front

Last night, army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in Idlib countryside, according to SANA, which referred to clashes erupted between people of Jabal al-Dweleh town and the al-Nusra Front terrorists over crimes being perpetrated by the front against the people there.

Several persons from the sides were wounded.

Two days ago, army units eliminated terrorists of Saudi and Libyan nationalities during concentrated operations in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and clashed with terrorists in Harasta suburb outside Damascus and in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

Basma Qaddour
