Syria Condemns Beheading Crime of 21 Egyptians in Libya

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Syria vehemently condemned the heinous crime perpetrated by terrorist groups against Egyptian’ citizens in Libya, according to an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

A video released by ISIS “Daesh” on Sunday shows the beheading of 21 Egyptian kidnapped in Libya.

In a statement to the state news agency (SANA) on Monday, the source said “this crime is a further proof of the barbaric nature of these organizations and the threat they pose on the security of the people of the region and to the whole world.”

The source called for the cooperation of the all countries, especially the Syrian and Egyptian people, to fight terrorism, extremism and takfiri mentality to implement UNSC resolutions related to stop supporting the terrorist organizations financially and logistically.

“We express our deep condolence to the victims’ families and to the people of Egypt” the statement concluded.
