Resistance Option

On  the 33rd anniversary of the national Open Strike by the Syrian Arab Citizens under the yoke of the Israeli occupation in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan on February 14th, 1982,  the Syrians reiterated that the option of the Resistance against the occupation as the way for the liberation of the occupied Golan.

Actually, such a strong determination came following more than a decade of on and off peace negotiations within the frame of Madrid Conference Peace Process. Israeli policies and practices on the ground have proved without fail that the Israelis do not want only to persist in the occupation and exploitation of the Syrian Golan, but are further working on occupying the more of the Syrian territories through their affiliated terrorists. The recent alliance between Israeli occupation and al-Qaeda affiliates and not to mentions the Israeli continued attacks and aggressions against Syria have distanced the prospects of peace and brought nearer the day of liberation.

In the global village of today, it is only the just and comprehensive peace on the basis of related UNSC resolutions, mainly 242 and 338, which can bring security and stability. The Israeli alliance with the evil and crimes of al-Nusra  not only made UNDOF  withdraw from the Syrian side of the 1974 Armistice Zone but reinforced the will and determination of the Popular Resistance as to liberate the occupied from the Israelis, who seem to impose through their occupation and reckless policies and aggressions what might be considered Samson’s Choice!

As repeatedly underscored the Axis of Resistance does not seek war; but is strongly committed to the right of self-defense and to the liberation of the occupied territories. Following the repeated Israeli attacks against Syria and against the close brothers  of Syria on the soil of Quneitra, disengagement rules have been buried by Israel first before being so by the Axis of Resistance!

On their national Open Strike. the steadfast Syrians in the Golan, in an earlier  statement read by the Syrian freedom-fighter and dean of Syrian Prisoner, Sidqi al-Maqt, our Syrian brothers reiterated definite and absolute rejection to the Israeli occupation and to its null, void, and illegitimate practices in the Golan Heights.

Our Syrian compatriots underlined the loyalty of the Golan, to the Syrian People, Army, and Leadership in rejection to the present conspiracy and ongoing aggression against Syria, asserting the need to pursue national dialogue and fight against armed terrorist groups in Syria.

”encountering the Israeli enemy, we extend our hands to shake the hands of every honest Syrian and embrace him/her and appeal to them to stand against the criminal gangs and their sectarian schemes and rally behind the leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad,” read the statement.

Our compatriots underscored that Syria is the dearest and above all  and that the 14th of February would ever remain the symbol for rejection Israeli ID’s and that the Golan is but Syrian and ever to remain Syrian Arab land and people.
