Syrian army’s achievements in southern front shock Israel

The successive victories achieved by Syrian army in the ongoing wide-scale military operation in the southern front have shocked Israel and have dropped its bet on terrorists being supported by it.

Israeli media outlets said the danger of the operation lies in the collapse of the armed groups that face big difficulties in stopping the Syrian army’s progress.

“The retreat of armed groups is the last thing Israel wants,” Ehud Yaari, an Israeli journalist and political commentator said.

Last night, the General Command of Army and Armed forces declared that Syrian army achieved successive victories on several axes in countryside of Damascus, Daraa and Quneitra.

The victories manifested in restoration of stability and peace to towns of Der al-Adas, al-Dnaji and Der Maker and recapturing hills of Msih, Mer’ee, al-Aros and al-Serjeh.

Large numbers of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed in the operation, according to a statement released by the general command.

The statement clarified that the operation seeks to make the Damascus-Quneitra axis and the Damascus-Daraa axis safe and to cut off terrorists supply routes that link the western countryside of Damascus and the countryside of Daraa and Quneditra.

“Recapturing the strategic hills would enhance the forthcoming military achievements in the region,” the statement said.

It underscored that Syrian army would go ahead with fulfilling its national duty in all areas to which terrorists entered.
