Syrian Arab army ambushes terrorists west Abo Duhur airbase in Idlib, destroys 8 ISIS vehicles in Der Ezzour

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has ambushed terrorists west Abo Duhur airbase outside Idlib and destroyed 8 vehicles belonging to the ISIS in Der Ezzour, the official news agency (SANA) said Saturday.

The agency confirmed that dozens of terrorists were killed in the ambush, adding that army units warded off an attack on Abo Duhur airbase.

It indicated that army units also wiped out two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to the Takfiri organizations in Tal Salmo area in the same province [Idlib].

Leader in ‘Islam army’ killed  

A leader in the so-called the ‘Islam Army’, dubbed Abo al-Hassan al-Turkey, was killed in Jabal al-Arbaeen area outside Idlib, activists said through social networks.

Add to that, army units eliminated many terrorists on Gharyat-Hrak road in the eastern countryside of Daraa and in several areas in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs.

More terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] were killed and injured when army units destroyed several terrorist hideouts and 8 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in al-Mre’eyeh, al-Shola, al-Mayadeen, Hawejet Sakr, Kbajeb, al-Jefra, north edge of Ayyash town and on the outskirts of Der Ezzour-Palmyra road.

Other terrorist hideouts in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, Jobar quarter, al-Qalamoun and al-Tiba area were pounded in a series of qualitative operations carried out by army units today.

Clashes in Darayya and Harasta suburbs

The operation synchronized with clashes erupted between army units and armed terrorist groups in Darayya and Harasta suburbs outside Damascus.

The clashes resulted in the death of many terrorists.

Three terrorists were killed in al-Hajar al-Aswad quarter, which lies east Darayya suburb.

On the other hand, popular defense groups in cooperation with competent authorities apprehended two terrorists and mowed down four others in raids on the outskirts of Tadamon quarter south Damascus.
