Syrian Arab army kills al-Nusra Front Emir plus bomb expert in Aleppo, intensifies strikes on ISIS sites in Der Ezzour

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed al-Nusra Front Emir plus bomb expert in Aleppo and intensified its aerial bombardments of terrorist hideouts in Der Ezzour, Idlib and Homs, the official news agency (SANA) reported Monday.

The agency clarified that the al-Nusra Front Emir in Aleppo province, dubbed Abo Khadejeh al-Jolani , was killed in airstrikes on terrorist groupings in the western countryside of the province.

Press office of the terrorist organization [al-Nusra Front] announced through social network the death of al-Jolani along with a bomb expert, dubbed Abo Omar al-Hamwi, during airstrikes in jabal Sam’an area in Aleppo countryside.

Al-Jolani and al-Hamwi were killed when their car was targeted by a missile near Kafr Halab town in the western countryside of Aleppo, the press office added.

Al-Jolani is a Palestinian and he is responsible for dozens of terror attacks in Aleppo countryside, especially in Nobul and Zahraa towns.

In another development, Syrian army intensified its aerial bombardment of the ISIS sites in al-Mohasan, al-Bolil and Tabyeh Shameyeh in the eastern edge of Der Ezzour and in al-Tebni and al-Kharita areas, about 50km north-west Der Ezzour as well as in al-Mayadeen area, around 45km south-east Der Ezzour, according to a military source.

The source told SANA that army units pounded several terrorist hideouts and eliminated large numbers of ISIS terrorists in al-Bo’omar and Ayyash towns in the same province.

ISIS organization abducted 5 men from Mashekh town in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour and took them to one of its hideouts in the area.

Qualitative operation on outskirts of Sha’er field  

In central Homs province, army units killed many ISIS terrorists in a qualitative operation on the outskirts of al-Sha’er gas field in the eastern countryside of the province and destroyed several vehicles belonging to the terrorist organization in towns of Rajm al-Qaser, Em Sehrij and al-Msherfeh al-Janobeyeh, about 70km east Homs city.

There were also operations carried out by army units in cooperation with popular defense groups against terrorist hideouts in the northern countryside of Homs where dozens of terrorists were killed and injured.

Intensified strikes in Idlib

Other hideouts of al-Nusra Front and the Ahrar al-Sham were targeted on the outskirts of Abo Duhur area in Idlib countryside.

Many terrorists were mowed down in  Abo Duhur area and in towns and farms of Tal Salmo, al-Hamedeyeh, al-Hoteh, Qar’a al-Ghazal, Em Jrin, Broma, Bzaborb, Maarret al-No’aman, Ariha, Jabal al-Akrad, Jabal al-Zaweyeh and Kaferlata  and on the outskirts of Jabal al-Arba’een in Idlib countryside.

The continuous operations on the outskirts of Jabal al-Arbaeen resulted in killing large numbers of terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Jond al-Aqsa’ as they were trying to infiltrate into the area, a military source confirmed.
