Syrian Arab army regains control of strategic hill east airbase in Sweida, wards off terrorists’ attack on town outside Hama
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has warded off terrorists’ attack on Qormos town in the western countryside of Hama and has regained control of Ein al-Bistan town outside Damascus and the Strategic Dalfa’a hill in the northern countryside of Sweida , media sources reported Thursday.
According to the official news agency (SANA), army units warded off an attack launched by terrorists from Dahab and Kafrlaha towns in the eastern countryside off Homs on Qormos town in the western countryside of Hama.
Many terrorists were killed and injured in the confrontations which erupted a day after the terrorists fired 15 mortar shells on the town killing a woman.
The confrontations synchronized with targeting the ISIS sites in Rhom, Enq al-Hawa and Rajm al-Qasr towns in the eastern countryside of Homs.
Meanwhile, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that Syrian army regained control of Ein al-Bistan town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and the strategic Dalfa’a hill that lies east Khalkhala airbase in the northern countryside of Sweida.
5 vehicles destroyed
In the same province [Damascus countryside], Syrian army destroyed yesterday 5 vehicles belonging to the al-Nusr Front in Jrod Ersal in al-Qalamoun area amid continuity of heavy fighting in Jobar quarter between army units and gunmen affiliated to the’ Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Sham’, according to the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper.
Qedsaya and al-Hameh roads
The paper confirmed that Qedsaya road in Damascus countryside was reopened after closing it for a short time due to clashes between gunmen and national defense groups.
“However, al-Hameh road is still closed in the wake of the abduction of two workers in Defense Factories ten days ago,” the paper added.
On the other hands, al-Mayadeen TV channel reported yesterday that more than 20 gunmen were killed and several others wounded in a car bomb blast near Hritan town north Aleppo.
