Zoubi: Israeli aggression on Quneitra, Direct Support for Terrorists in Syria

Damascus, (ST)_ Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said that the Israeli aggression against Quneitra yesterday was not sudden, rather an integral part of crimes committed by the occupation entity since its inception, and falls in the context of supporting terrorist organizations, which are placed on the international terrorism list.

“The Israeli occupation entity acts openly in providing direct support to armed terrorist organizations especially, al-Nusra front, which is on the UN terrorist organization list, a matter which reveals the size of Israeli complicity with terrorist groups in Syria.” Zoubi said in an interview with the Lebanese al-Manar TV yesterday.

Minister Zoubi regretted the participation of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Paris march against terrorism, while he and his government are representing terrorism, manifested in repeated terrorist attacks on Gaza, Jerusalem, Lebanon and Syria.

“One who tries to target Syria, its unity and army puts himself in the service of the Zionist project against Syria, Palestine and the Arab nation ,” he said, pointing out that the attack on the Iraqi, Egyptian and Lebanese armies falls within this context.

Zoubi questioned “Why attacks were not made against the Saudi army or the Gulf armies,” emphasizing because these armies are not designed to confront Israel, but to face the Arabs and Muslims in the service of Israel.”

He stressed that the Syrian army, the people defense forces and internal security forces are ready, willing to perform their duties in confronting terrorism, noting that terrorists and the countries supporting them whenever feeling ground equations are changing in favor of the Syrian people and state, increase funding, arming and commit the most heinous, brutal and barbaric crimes.
