Iraqi Army Regains Several Areas, Turkish Weapons Inside ISIL Cache Detected

The Iraqi army, backed by the Popular Mobilizations forces, continued its operations against ISIL terrorists, regaining control over several areas, including al-Monshaa in Tikrit.

The Iraqi army also liberated several areas in Nbaei, Northern Baghdad, after expelling ISIL terrorists whose leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi used to reside in the mentioned town, Al-Manar reported Tuesday.

 

The Iraqi military launched an extensive campaign to liberate the county of Ratba in Ramadi, clashing fiercely with ISIL terrorists.

The Popular Mobilizations forces found an ISIL cache that contains Turkish weapons in the county of Balad.

 

Iraqi Troops repulse ISIL attack near Basra

Meanwhile,Iraqi forces repelled an attack by the ISIL Takfiri group in Umm Qasr Port, South of Basra, killing and injuring a large number of terrorists, an army official said.

The security forces thwarted a rocket attack involving four Katyusha rockets found just 500 meters from the port,” Chairman of Basra Security Committee Jabbar Hassan al-Saadi said, al-Shorfa reported

“Two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) found near an Iraqi vessel docking at the port were successfully dismantled and the rockets removed from their launchers,” he added.
