Syrian-Iranian Investment Projects to be Established

TEHRAN, (ST)  Iranian Economy and Finance Minister Ali Tayyip Nia discussed on Saturday with Syria’s ambassador to Tehran Dr. Adnan Mahmoud , the establishment of joint investment projects in the fields of oil, phosphate, cement, energy, agriculture, and transport as well as the sharing of the Iranian companies in reconstruction and the work towards economic partnership that contributes to strengthening the steadfastness of the Syrian people, to meet the needs of service sectors, living and the benefit of both countries and peoples.

The Iranian Minister, during the meeting, stressed the fixed stands of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the constant economic support to Syria and providing the basic needs to the Syrian people at the level of the fight against terrorism and restoring security and stability to Syria

The Iranian government, Mr. Nia referred, is working hard to expand economic and trade relations and the establishment of joint investment projects in the vital sectors between the two countries.

 For his part, the Syrian ambassador said that Syria welcomes the participation of Iranian companies in investment projects, reconstruction and providing the necessary facilities to start work.

He pointed to the common will of the two countries to translate the strategic relations in the economic dimension and then to take advantage of the available great potential at all investment sectors, expressing gratitude to the Iranian government in supporting the steadfastness of the Syrian people and providing the basic needs.
