Crocodile tears

 From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, some European countries, especially France and Britain have been offering unlimited support to the armed terrorist groups operating in Syria. It is ironic that the states that have been claiming to fight terrorism and protect human rights are the same which are offering unlimited support to the armed terrorist groups in Syria.

The contradictory and ambiguous stances of these states mean that they don’t have any serious desire to stop the violence and terrorism perpetrated by the terrorist organizations against the Syrian people, their public and private properties. Rather, they want to prolong the crisis in Syria and continue their sinister role in shedding the blood of Syrian people.

The recent statement made by EU foreign ministers on the situation in Syria stresses the deep European involvement in concocting the plot targeting Syrian people and homeland. The statement clearly discloses the European complicity in shedding the Syrians’ blood. It was full of allegations and lies which assert that the European Union is apparently going forward with its policy of systematic misinformation despite the fact that the entire world now realizes the reality of the aggression against Syria being carried out by armed terrorist groups coming from more than 83 states.

Those groups, including the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra, are receiving unlimited support by some EU states, regional countries and the US.

The EU statement will lead nowhere as far as reaching a solution to the crisis in Syria is concerned. The EU is shedding crocodile tears on the humanitarian suffering of the Syrians, and at the same time, it overlooks that it is the EU’s policy of backing terrorism in Syria, the unfair economic sanctions imposed on it and the repeated attempts to abort the efforts seeking a way out are the causes behind prolonging the crisis in Syria.

The EU support and the export of terrorists from various countries around the world led to the growth of the terrorist activities that have come to pose a serious threat to the regional and international peace and security.

The EU’s statement and other similar statements will only make the Syrian people and army more confident and determined to achieve victory while they are proudly confronting the forces of the obscurantist takfiri terrorism.

Such statements mean that the Western countries haven’t learnt yet how to deal with Syria which adopts courageous and principled stances represented in defending its people’s interests, dignity and homeland. The attack against Syria came in the same context of attacking any state that defends the principles of its people and their right in defending their land, honor and dignity and in fighting hegemony, tyranny and foreign occupation.  It is an established fact that Syria’s principled stand in confrontation of the Zionist occupation of the Arab territories and its adherence to the option of resistance was behind the Zionist American conspiracy against Syria. The western barbarian policies towards Syria have been expected as Syria has always defended the values of its nation, issues of its people and its sovereignty and independent decision.

The unilateral economic sanctions are imposed by the US and European Union on Syria, Russia, China, Iran and other countries with the aim of undermining their developmental abilities and their aspirations to build a world where freedom and creative international cooperation spread.

The Europeans forged a satanic paper on Syria at the EU headquarters in Brussels through which they claimed that they found solutions to what is taking place in the country, while in reality, they defined ways of continuing to kill Syrian people and to support terrorism and to destroy the infrastructure.

With the forthcoming New Year, we expect the West to halt the policies of double standards, killing, hypocrisy, destruction and supporting the armed terrorist groups and to respect the values of other nations which were disseminated by Jesus Christ. Syrian people expect them to give up their imperial and colonial dreams and to contribute to build a world where peace, equality and mutual respect prevail everywhere.

The   Syrian people and army are determined to    achieve victory over this sinister conspiracy to rid the Syrian people from terrorism and restore security and stability to the whole parts of Syria.
