 DAMASCUS, (ST)_The awareness of Syrians of the reality of the ongoing in Syria opens new horizons for religious work in commitment to the true preaching of morals, amity, cooperation and mutual respect, the essence of religion, underscored H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.

In a meeting with a delegations comprising Christian and Moslem men of religion participating the annual conference organized by Ministry of Religious Affairs (Awqaf), President Al-Assad pointed out that such meetings are very significant and do reflect the cohesiveness and strength of the Syrian society, rich in all of its religious and ethnic components of national steadfastness in the face of the fierce war launched against Syria.

The pivotal role of men of religion in boosting national reconciliations, spreading the culture of dialogue among Syrian was highly underlined by H.E. President Al-Assad.

The delegation, which handed a copy of the Islamic-Christian project (Fadhila) to H.E. as the basic guidelines of true religion, asserted that Syria is ever to remain the fertile territory for cultural and civilization diversity in commitment to national unity against terrorism, extremism, and dark Takfiri ideas, odd to the Syrian society.
