Syrian Arab army strikes al-Nusra Front sites in Idlib and Homs, continues operations in Daraa
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has carried out fresh series of operations against terrorist organizations in several contested areas outside Homs, Idlib and Daraa, killing and injuring many terrorists, according to media sources.
The sources clarified that the operations focused on terrorist organizations’ sites in Khsher, al-Zahabeye, Tal al-Toqan Talab, Bayya’a al-Kabera and al-Mistriha towns near Abu Duhur airbase in Idlib and in towns of T’om and Qminas in the same province.
Several terrorist hideouts, some of them contained weapons, were pounded in the said towns and in Jabal Hloz and Ein al-Badeh areas which are affiliated to Jesr al-Shoghour, about 47km south-west Idlib city.
Terrorists linked to al-Nusra Front, the ‘Islamic Front’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement spread in the towns surrounding Abu Duhur airbase, which lies 50km east Idlib city.
Turkish and Saudi regimes directly support the terrorist organizations that perpetrate crimes against Syrian people.
In another development, Syrian army struck al-Nusra Front sites in al-Rastan and foiled terrorists’ attack on Maksar al-Hsan town in Homs countryside.
A military source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that army units killed many al-Nusra Front terrorists in the main square of al-Rastan city, about 24km north Homs city, and foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from Rhom and Enq al-Hawa towns into Maksar al-Hsan town, which is located 60 km east Homs city.
Terrorists belonging to the ISIS [known as Daesh in Arabic] spread in Rhom town that is located at administrative boundaries of Raqqa, while other terrorist organizations called ” Jabhet al-Nusra for Ahl al-Shan’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement spread in Enq al-Hawa town.
In September 2013, terrorists killed 70 civilians, including women, in Maksar al-Hsan town.
Clashes among terrorists in Homs
In the same province [Homs], Clashes flared up between al-Nusra Front and armed groups on the one hand and the ISIS on the other in Mehseh town in the southern countryside of Homs, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.
“Many gunmen were killed and injured in the clashes,” the TV channel added.
In southern Daraa province, , it was reported that many terrorists were killed when Syrian army targeted their groupings in Daraa al-Balad, Daraa al-Mahatta and in several areas in the northern and eastern edges of Daraa countryside.
Der Ezzour people clashes with ISIS
On the other hand, clashes continued for the second day running between the ISIS terrorists and people of Sbekhan and al-Dweer towns in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour.
The clashes erupted after the ISIS had arrested several women from the two towns.
Well over 7 terrorists inside a car equipped with heavy machinegun belonging to the ISIS were killed as the two towns’ people destroyed it.
Moreover, the Financial Times newspaper reported today that the ISIS executed 100 foreign fighters who tried to flee Raqqa province
