President Assad Message to President Rohani : Developing Bilateral Relations, Common Will against Conspiracies
TEHRAN, (ST) _ A message from President Bashar al-Assad to Iranian President Hassan Rohani was conveyed yesterday by Prime Minister Dr. Wael Halaqi on development of bilateral relations in various fields and boosting them to include new areas that reinforce the bonds of bilateral cooperation in the interest of the two countries and peoples common will against American-Zionist and Western hirelings in the region, as well as the material, moral and military support provided by these countries for armed terrorist organizations.
During his meeting with the Prime Minister, President Rohani expressed thanks to President al-Assad for the content of his message and sincere attitudes towards the Iranian leadership and people, stressing Iran stand with the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism and strengthening Syria’s steadfastness, resulted from the Syrian people’s solidarity with the army and its leadership, led by President al-Assad.
Rohani stressed that the world conspiracies hatched against Iran will not prevent its continued support for the Syrian government and people, noting that supporters of terrorist organizations began to realize that the military and financial support to these organizations can not overthrow the legitimate leadership in Syria.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the acceleration of national reconciliation among the Syrian people and the Inter-Syrian national dialogue without external interference
Dr. Halaqi thanked President Rohani for his stands with Syria’s people, leadership and army, stressing that, in parallel, Syria is fighting against terrorism, while seeking to achieve national reconciliation and strengthen Syrian people economic capabilities.
The prime minister talked about the results of his talks with Iranian officials, in reinforcing bilateral economic, commercial, technical, industrial and agricultural cooperation and ensure requirements of the Syrian people steadfastness.
Representing the Syrian side, the meeting was attended by ministers of Electricity, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Industry, the Cabinet secretary general and the Syrian ambassador in Tehran and the Iranian side was by, the foreign minister,minister of Roads and urban development and the Iranian ambassador in Damascus.
