Good results for judo team in Beirut

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The men and women’s national judo teams have returned home after taking part in the Lebanon International Judo Tournament.

The Syrian athletes achieved remarkable results as they captured ten varied medals (3 gold,4 silver and three bronzes) and consequently finished second in the overall standings.

The teams included the following players: Mohammad akkash, Fadi Darwish,Muhanad Sham, Samih Ramadan ,Adnan Khankan,Mohammad Ghasan,Sibai Haj Idris, Sandra Da’as,Nadia Assaf and Noura Mansour.

It is to be noted that scores of athletes representing Iraq, Cyprus, Lebanon alongside Syria took part in the said event.
