Fruitful Cooperation
The globe of today is still semi-stable because of the wise balance made by countries like Russia, Iran, Syria and almost every anti imperialist country. Countries like the old-new colonials, US, Turkey and the ewes have been –at the expense of their own people and ours, destroying and exploiting every treasure for the narrow personal interests of their rulers, companies of oil and blood, and factories of weapons and arms.
For decades, such forces of evil, motivated by grudge, hatred, personal interests and financial bribes, have destroyed the main pillars of international relations and legitimacy. Unfortunately, the Middle East region is paying the most expensive price for the policies and ploys of such forces of evil. For example, the US invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq, not to mention its persistent exploitation of the region resources and blind support to the Israeli occupation led to instability, insecurity and to the emergence of terrorist organizations like Daesh, al-Nusra, and other Al-Qaeda offshoots!
The wise balance and constructive role was highlighted yesterday by H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad during his meeting with the visiting special envoy of Russian President, Mikhail Bogdanov. H.E. President Al-Assad asserted that Russia, in due respect to the people’s right to self-destiny, in respect for international law and states sovereignty, has always been by the Syrian People. Accordingly, Syria welcomes any diplomatic Russian move, based on Russian principles, as to find solution for the crisis in Syria.
Assad-Bogdanov talks asserted the dire need for serious work in fighting terrorism and extremism through genuine pressures by international community and measures of deterrence against states backing terrorism to solve the crisis in Syria.
According to a Presidential statement, H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad, underscored the importance of continued bilateral exchange of opinions and coordination in the interest of both countries’ friendly people as well as in the interest of restoring stability to Syria and to all the region countries.
Mr. Bogdanov conveyed during the meeting a verbal message from H.E. President Vladimir Putin of Russia on bilateral relations, standing cooperation between both friendly countries, and on Russia’s continued support to the Syrian People in fighting the brutal terrorist attacks.
President Al-Assad was also briefed by Bogdanov on all the meetings held recently as part of Russia’s efforts for creating suitable circumstances as to stop terrorism in Syria, hold an all-out Syrian-Syrian dialogue away from foreign interferences.
Mr. Bogdanov voiced Moscow’s support for the Syrian Government’s efforts in consolidating national reconciliations as a fundamental step on the way of solution.
Mr. Bogdanov, in reply to journalists’ questions regarding his talks with President Al-Assad, stated that bilateral relations and the bolstering of these relations between Russia and Syria and among the people of both countries have always been discussed.
Bogdanov added that the talks touched also on the crisis in Syria and political solution and on how we could do this issue as soon as possible given the fact that fighting terrorism is but our basic and most important task, hence terrorism is the threat against all.
