Remarkable results for Special Olympics team in Cairo
CAIRO,(ST)-The Syrian Special Olympics team have achieved remarkable results in the 8th Regional Special Olympics of the Middle East and North Africa zone which was staged in Cairo.
The Syrian team captured 37 varied medals (12 gold,14 silver and 11 bronzes).
Syrian gymnasts took six gold and six silver medals).
In weightlifting ,Syrian weightlifters captured 14 varied medals(4 gold,6 silver & 4 bronze).
In equestrianism, the Syrian equestrians took one gold and one silver ;one gold and one silver in badminton and one silver and one bronze in table-tennis .
In track and field events,one silver and one bronze .Besides five medals in other sports.
