Maliki : Conspiracy in the region Aims to Destroy Syria, Iraq

BEIRUT, (ST) _Iraqi Vice President Nuri al-Maliki stressed that the plottaking place in the region aims to destroy Syria and Iraq and to target Lebanon and Iran, noting that challenging it is a “sacred duty.”

Maliki added after meeting with the Lebanese head of al-Wafaa faction for resistance and Lebanese MP Mohammad Raad in Beirut yesterday that the aim of what is happening is to dismantle the structure of the region, its holy sites and to violate its sanctities and sovereignty.

 He stressed that”Daesh” and “al-Qaeda” terrorist organizations are but tools manufactured to target the pride and dignity of this nation and the region, and therefore the fight is ongoing with terrorism and its funders.

Maliki commended the victories of the Lebanese resistance in addressing and defeating Israel,the most brutal barbaric force and its hirelings.

For his part, Raad stressed that Daesh terrorist organization is but on face of terrorism used by International organized terrorism countries of the greatest danger “ on our communities and region, and we all have to foresee an enabled vision confront this danger”.

He called to stand by the Iraqi people and to maintain its unity and withstand the major plots targeting its aspirations.

He continued that the current battle is”liberation war,we are fighting against the same enemy, intends to subdue the will of the people who are eager to get rid of the domination of the arrogant and the tyrant.”

Raad underlined that the choice of resistance is the only way to “liberate our lands from invaders, with no need to agreements, compromises or concessions, which aim to undermine our sovereignty “.
