Minister Al-Zou’bi: Supporting terrorism contradicts political solutions

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Supporting terrorism contradicts political solutions for crisis in Syria, Mr. Omran Al-Zoubi, Minister of Information stated in reaction to US State Department spokesperson, Jen Psaki’s press statement, in which she claimed commitment to ”supporting the Syrian opposition and working towards a political solution that stops the violence”.

Minister Al-Zou’bi pointed out that all have to choose one of two options either to stand with terrorism, ISIS, al-Nusra and the like or to stand with confronting terrorism.

Psaki claimed that the Syrian airstrikes against ISIS caused ‘civilian’ death, ignoring the fact that the very ISIS terrorists were indeed the target and never ever the Syrian civilians, whom ISIS has been torturing, slaughtering, kidnapping and even raping and selling the women among them.

Misleading public opinion has become part and parcel of the US statements, based on the sources of terrorist organizations like ISIS and others, added Minister Al-Zou’bi.

The minister lashed out at the US statement’s deliberate blind-eyes to what ISIS and other terrorist organizations’ perpetrated of heinous and savage crimes and cannibalistic slaughter, rape, looting, destruction and beheading against Syrian civilians, whom the Syrian State’s duty is but to  protect from those who have been training, arming and financing terrorists in Syria.
