Syrian Arab army kills 50 terrorists in ambush outside Damascus, continues operations in Aleppo, Daraa and Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed large numbers of al-Nusra Front terrorists on the outskirts of Nubul and al-Zahra towns north-west Aleppo, a military source declared Wednesday.

The source confirmed that terrorists were forced to pull back from the outskirts of the two towns.

Terrorists organizations declared through social media that they failed to storm Jam’eyet al-Jod [al-Jod Asociation] overlooking the town of Nubul, adding that a convoy of reinforcement coming from Hritan to save their members was destroyed.

The activists posted images on social media showing dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists that were killed on the outskirts of Nubul and al-Zahra towns.

Clashes in Aleppo

In the same province [Aleppo], Syrian army clashed with terrorists in Handarat, al-Brij, Sefat, Khan Toman and killed many of them there and in Hayyan, al-Tamora, Mayer, Maarret al-Atq, old city of Aleppo and Qadi Askar areas.

As many as 7 terrorists were reportedly killed in the clashes.

In southern Daraa province, Syrian army targeted terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad, Athman town and al-Sheikh Meskin city where many terrorists were killed and injured, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that Syrian army warded off terrorists’ infiltration attempt from al-Waer quarter into Jesr al-Kharab in Homs and killed many terrorists.

ISIS leader killed in Homs

While the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that a military leader in the ISIS [known as Daesh in Arabic] was killed during clashes with Syrian army on the outskirts of al-Shaer gas field east Homs.   

It added that Syrian army imposed control over al-Kher and al-Jammo towns in Hassaka countryside.

Later on the Syrian TV channel quoted a military source as saying that an army unit eliminated over 50 terrorists trying to run away from Meda’a into al-Dumeir city in Damascus countryside.
