The relationship between the Turkish regime and the ISIS terrorists is no longer hidden. The latest developments in Ayn al-Arab town in northern Syria is a proof of the close relations between Turkey and ISIS. The danger posed by Turkish government’s policies should be given the special attention it deserves, and it is very important to take measures to prevent the Turkish government from impinging on the UN role and breaching the sovereignty of a UN member state.
The Turkish government’s involvement in supporting ISIS helped the terrorist organization expand in some areas in Syria and Iraq. Turkey’s priority is not battling with ISIS as Ankara has contributed to founding this terrorist organization and many others through providing them with financial and logistic support. The Justice and Development Party in Turkey has transformed some Turkish areas into training camps for ISIS members, providing them with weapons, ammunition, logistic coordination and medical services.
The Turkish regime was and is still a part of the terrorist acts which hit Syria and Iraq over the past years. Turkey is not a part of the solution, but a basic part of the problem, because of its support of the armed terrorist groups operating in Syria and Iraq. Since the beginning of the war on Syria, Erdogan’s group have harbored and sponsored the terrorists and the killers of the so-called the free army and the other brigades of killing and terrorism which have carried out the policies of Erdogan, Netanyahu, the Saudi regime and the other supporters of the killers in the Gulf kingdoms and Europe.
The heresy of the establishment of buffer zones inside Syria which was created by the Turkish leadership and was substituted later by the so-called ‘safe areas’, is a flagrant violation of the international law. The Turkish attempts for setting up a buffer zone in Syria is a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law that call for respecting national sovereignty of states and non-interference in their domestic affairs.
Turkey’s conduct, moreover, is a breach of the UN counter-terrorism resolutions. It is necessary that the international community take action against the Turkish government’s violations and halt them as soon as possible.
The Syrian people, who are confronting acts of killing and destruction, have the exclusive right to determine their future. The Syrian people categorically reject setting up any buffer zones, or no-fly zone on any part of the Syrian land under any pretext, because such act is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of their state. Syrian people reject any hostile intervention by any foreign forces on its lands. Syria will take all necessary measures to preserve its national sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
The Syrian people’s resilience and their standing by the Syrian army have enabled them to confront the “Islamic State in Iraq and Syria” (ISIS) terrorist organization and other similar Takfiri organizations.
The way and methodology of the alliance in fighting ISIS will not lead to any end because terrorism has come to the region in the framework of an international conspiracy against the region. The U.S. does not intend to fight ISIS in the region. It has occupied Afghanistan and Iraq for more than a decade under the pretext of combating terrorism and extremism.
The Syrian people who have strongly tied to the sincere allies will defend every inch of the Syrian land, will support their brothers in Ain al-Arab and will not allow Erdogan to establish a buffer zone or safe areas or no-fly zone on the Syrian territories.
The Syrian people will also support their army to achieve victories, eliminate terrorism and restore security and stability to the whole country.
