Information Minister: Syrian People are More Adherent to National Identity

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi has stressed that Syria is proceeding a political solution, which must be among the Syrians themselves, not at the expense of fighting terrorism, nor armed terrorist organizations to be a party to it.

 During a meeting with a delegation representing Fe-Arab organization and the Syrian community in Venezuela, yesterday, the minister said that the Syrians are more adherent to their national identity, their will to survive more than that of death and the brave Syrian army is more determined to make sacrifices to maintain the country unity.

Zoubi explained that since the first moments of the so-called Arab Spring in Syria, it was planned to create chaos as an introduction to weakening the country, exhausting the Syrian army and change central role in the service of Israel.

He indicated that the Turkish Ottoman government of the Justice and Development Party is working to create false conditions and justifications in its fighting of Daesh terrorist organization and using aids to Ein al-Arab people as a pretext to justify military intervention in Syria, pointing out that most of leaders of this terrorist organization are stationed in Turkey.

The minister added that the ministry of information documents terrorist organizations crimes which target the Syrian people and infrastructure systematically in addition to the names of foreign terrorists killed in Syria and expressed readiness to provide the Venezuelan TV with all related evidenced documents.

For his part, head of the Fe-Arab organization and member of the Venezuelan parliament Adel Zoughair pointed to the role played by the Syrian national media in the face of imperialist war, imposed on the Syrian people and in exposing realities events as they are happening in Syria with credibility and transparency, calling for enhanced cooperation with the Venezuelan news agencies and for providing them with documents and films and assist in exchanging media information.

Members of the visiting delegation said that the aim of the visit is to voice solidarity with their country, army and leadership and to convey the true image and contribute to investment projects in Syria. They expressed appreciation for the Syrian media which sacrificed many martyrs in order to convey the truth and unmask the false image of TV stations, partners in the crime of shedding the blood of the Syrian people.

The meeting was attended by the Venezuelan ambassador in Damascus Imad Saab.
