PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has advanced in al-Amereyeh area in Aleppo city and has targeted grouping of al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ ringleaders in Damascus countryside, military sources declared Saturday.
The sources said that army units regained control over several buildings in al-Amereyh area in Aleppo city and killed many terrorists who were holed up inside the buildings.
The fresh advance synchronized with pounding hideouts of terrorists in al-Sekkari, al-Ashrafeyeh, Tal al-Zarazir, al-Mashhad, al-Ramoseh, al-Sheikh Saed, al-Marjeh, al-Zerbeh and al-Layramon in and outside Aleppo where many terrorists were reportedly killed and injured.
Attacks on military posts foiled
While in Damascus countryside, Syrian army repelled terrorists’ infiltration bid into several military posts on the outskirts of Khan al-Sheih farms and targeted a grouping of the terrorist al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ ringleaders in al-Hseneyeh farms.
Many terrorist ringleaders, mostly non-Syrians, died there.
Mercenaries of Sudanese, Jordanian and Palestinian nationalities fighting for al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ were eliminated during today’s operations in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and al-Qalamoun Mountain.
Another infiltration bid by terrorists from Der Maker town into al-Hebbareyeh in Quneitra countryside was foiled by army units amid reports of eliminating many terrorists in Idlib and Daraa.
In another development, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that al-Nusra Front imposed control over most of Jabal al-Zaweyeh towns outside Idlib in the wake of fighting with the ‘Thowwar Syria’ Front.
