Syria vows to foil Turkey’s dangerous plot

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Syria has censured and rejected Turkey’s blatant violation of its border in Ayn al-Arab city, stressing its determination to foil the Turkish government’s ‘dangerous’ plot.

In a statement released today, Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said” “Once again, Turkey proves its real conspiratorial role, premeditated intentions and blatant intervention in Syria’ affair through violating the Syrian border in Ayn al-Arab city by allowing foreign forces and terrorist elements, resided in Turkey’s lands, to enter the Syrian lands.”

The ministry considered the Turkey’s disgraceful act as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and the UN charter and International Law.

“The connection between the Turkish Development and Justice Party and terrorist organizations, particularly the Daesh [IS] and al-Nusra Front as well as al-Qaeda’ branches, is no longer secret,” the ministry said, referring to the fact that Turkey has not allowed the Syrian residents from Ayn al-Arab, who are in its lands, to cross the border to defend their city and to help their brothers in confronting the terror organization Daesh [IS].

It affirmed that Turkish government’s attempt to exploit the Ayn al-Arab people’s steadfastness in order to pass its expansionist plots by entering terrorist elements and seeking to establish buffer zone inside Syria reflects Turkey’s aggressive intentions against Syria’s unity.

‘Disgraceful act’

“Syria condemns and rejects the disgraceful act of the Turkish government and parties colluded with it which are responsible for the crisis in Syria and continuity of blood shedding through their support for the terrorist organizations,” the ministry said.

It underscored that Syria would go ahead with foiling the Turkish government’s dangerous plot.

“The Syrian Arab Republic reiterates its support for Ayn al-Arab people and its determination to enhance their heroic steadfastness and to protect Syria’s unity,” the ministry concluded.
