Economy Minister Meets Fe -Arab Venezuela Delegation

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Humam Al –Gezairi, underlined the importance of activating economic relations and increasing the value of trade exchange with friendly countries, pointing out that the export process supports the Syrian economy especially during the current crisis.

During a meeting with a Fe –Arab Venezuela delegation, Dr. Al -Gezairi clarified that Syria has a lot of investment opportunities and products that meet the needs of the Venezuelan market, calling to find common mechanisms of action to meet the requirements of the current stage and contribute to the upgrading of the economic relations.

For his part, the Venezuelan ambassador in Syria, Imad Sa’eb, pointed to the importance of improving trade and economic relations, especially that the two countries share the same cultural and family ties, calling for the setting up a Joint Syria -Venezuelan Chamber of Industry and Trade to activate the economic relations.

For their part, members of the delegation expressed their support and solidarity with their homeland, Syria, expressing their readiness to contribute to facilitate the process of trade exchange and provide appropriate proposals and ideas that activate commercial movement between Syria and Venezuela.
