DAMASCUS,(ST)_Assistant Secretary General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) has said Arab expatriates have a key role in defending the Arab nation’s rights and enhancing stances of Syria, which is the citadel of Arab steadfastness and resistance.
Abdullah al-Ahmar’s remark came during a meeting held today with a delegation representing Fearab Venezuela organization.
According to the official news agency (SANA), al-Ahmar declared that the Syrian communities all over the world are one of the reasons for Syria’s steadfastness.
“The communities have done their utmost to stand by their homeland,” he said, referring to the role of the Syrian community in Venezuela in cementing friendly ties between the two countries [Syria and Venezuela].
The BASP’s Assistant Secretary General added that Syria persists in solving the ongoing crisis through dialogue and eradicating terrorism.
“Syria’s nationalist stances towards the Arab just causes, including the Palestinian cause, are behind what is going on in Syria,” al-Ahmar stressed.
Head of the Fearab organization Adel al-Zgher confirmed readiness of the Syrian community in Venezuela to offer all forms of support in order to enhance the Syrian people’s steadfastness in facing the unjust war on the homeland.
