Syrian Arab army recaptures Hosh al-Fara town in eastern Ghouta of Damascus, foils infiltration bid into strategic hill in Idlib

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has regained control of Hosh al-Fara town and has tightened grip on Meda’a town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, a military source said Tuesday. 

The source declared that army units in cooperation with locals recaptured today morning Hosh al-Fara town east Duma city and tightened grip on Meda’a town in the Eastern Ghouta outside Damascus. 

It added that army units are moving in al-Ma’amel area [Factories area] in Tal Kerdi, which is located between Duma and Adra areas, in Damascus countryside and have killed large numbers of terrorists there. 

“Well over 9 terrorists from the so-called the “Islam Army’ were eliminated in Tal Kerdi on the outskirts of Duma city,” the source confirmed, adding that more 7 terrorists belonging to al-Nusra Front were killed in a concentrated operation carried out by army units in al-Eb farms in the city.  

Meanwhile, Syrian army carried out fresh military operations against terrorist organizations in several areas in Daraa, Quneitra and Aleppo, killing and injuring many terrorists, according to the official news agency (SANA).

A hideout for the ‘Ababil Horan’ brigades, which is affiliated to the al-Nusra Front, in Nawa town and an arms cache for terrorists in al-Sheikh Meskin town outside Daraa were destroyed during the operations.    

The operations coincided with foiling terrorists’ infiltration bid into the Strategic ‘al-Mastomeh’ hill in northeastern Idlib province.

Alikhbaria Syria TV channel quoted a military source as saying that terrorists from al-Nusra Front tried today morning to take control of the strategic al-Mastomeh hill, which is linking Idlib and Ariha, but Syrian army warded off the attack.

“We have reached a point of either victory or death, there is no other choice,” the military source said.

Terrorists kill each other  

On the other hand, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that  the ‘Thowwar Syria’ Front’s gunmen fired dozens of shells on al-Bara town in Idlib countryside, killing many gunmen from al-Nusra Front.

It pointed out that al-Nusra Front gunmen took control of the ‘Thowwar Syria’ Front’s sites in Ma’arret al-No’aman in the same province [Idlib].
