Syria third in WATT

DAMASCUS, (ST) – The Syrian national team, who took part in the West Asia Tennis Tournament (male and female)which was recently held in Beirut, have come third in the said event.

Eight countries took part in the event: Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon.

 In the overall standings, Lebanon came first. Followed by Iran while the third place went  to Syria.

It is to be noted that AyaKhalaf took a silver medal in the individual contest after losing to an opponent from Iran in the final.
