Good results for women tennis team in Beirut

BEIRUT, (ST) – The Syrian women tennis team have clinched the title of the West Asia Tennis Championship (doubles contest).

Karmen Nahat and AyaKhalaf took gold as they beat their Jordanian counterparts in the final (2-6) 7-6 6-2.

 In the individual contest, Rabee Yassin took a bronze medal  after beating Roy Thabit from Lebanon 6-2—6-4.

Scores of players from Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen and Lebanon are taking part in the said event.
